Round 3 of the 2024 British F4 Esports Championship saw the grid take on another iconic track in the form of the Snetterton 300 circuit.
Mensah Racing Driven By Us entered Round 3 in a good position following Matt Caruana’s maiden win in Zandvoort which saw the team maintain their position of P3 in the team’s championship.
If you want to keep up with this competitive season, the races can be accessed on the iRacing official Facebook, YouTube and Twitch channels.
Round 3 - Snetterton 300
Round 3 saw the drivers tackle the Snetterton 300 circuit. The circuit sets technical turns against fast straights to provide a complex track. The circuit has a total of 12 corners, 5 left handers and 7 right handers across its 3 mile length. It provides a difficult and complex challenge for the grid as it sets its technical turns against fast straights.
Round 3 saw only one driver race for Driven By Us Mensah Racing as Kieran Pendergast was ill and the reserve driver was not available.
During Race 1, Matt Caruana was able to build upon his maiden win during Round 2 at Zandvoort. He qualified P2 ,only 0.045 seconds, placing himself in a competitive position. Only two laps into the race Caruana was able to bypass polesitter Moore in an impressive overtake down the Bentley straight, a move that began a continued trade for positions between the two drivers throughout the race. Caruana was eventually able to secure a lead with a large enough margin to force Moore to focus on the threat from P3, allowing Matt Caruana to secure yet another win.
Caruana started P6 during Race 2 due to the reverse grid. Despite these odds, he was able to add to a huge point haul for Mensah Racing during Round 3. He made the most of drivers battling ahead to move himself up to P5, a pattern that would continue as he employed his skill to overtake drivers ahead. Though he had to fight hard to maintain his position, Caruana was able to secure P3, taking back to back podiums for the Mensah Racing Driven By Us, boosting morale further in a team which is already achieving success.
It is safe to say that the team has completed their most successful race weekend to date with a huge point haul. After his impressive weekend Matt Caruana has solidified his position of P3 in the championship showing him to be a real contender for the championship. The team were able to strengthen their P4 position in the teams championship despite being one driver down.

Oulton Park
The Oulton Park International Circuit hosted Round 4 of the 2024 British F4 Esports Championship.
Round 3 saw multiple wins and podiums for Mensah Racing Driven By Us, however, both Kieran Pendergast and Matt Caruana didn't race during Round 4 due to obligations in Valencia. It was reserve driver Ronnie E Smith who was placed with the responsibility of racing alone for the team.
Round 4 saw the drivers take on the Oulton Park International Circuit. The track has 6 left-handers and 11 right-handers across its 4.30 km length.
Race 1 saw Smith start P10 on the grid, putting himself in a position where he could pick up some points for the team. He wasn't able to maintain this, finishing P13 but still adding to the weekend’s point haul. However, this didn't represent his performance during Round 4.
In Race 2 Ronnie E Smith made a statement by taking his maiden win no one would believe that he was a reserve driver. He started P5 on the grid allowing him to have the opportunity to secure some important points. His pace allowed him to secure some impressive overtakes placing him in P2 when the chequered flags were flown. However, a post-race penalty saw him progress from the podium to the win which is bound to bolster both his and the team's confidence.
The team is growing in confidence week on week with Smith’s performance making it 3 wins for the team in back-to-back rounds. Due to only one driver running for the past two rounds, there have been fewer opportunities to score the points so the Mensah Racing Driven By Us has dropped to P5 in the teams’ standings.
